  • 3 celery sprigs.
  • 2 Apples.
  • 125 grams nuts.
  • 125 grams grapes.
  • 1 egg yolk.
  • 30 ml of vinegar.
  • 150 ml olive oil, extra virgin.

Steps to making Waldorf Salad

  • To start we will roast the walnuts slightly in a pan, after a few minutes that they are already toasted we will reserve them while they cool and proceed to cut them into large pieces.
  • Now to prepare the mayonnaise we get a bottomed container, add the egg yolk, salamis and start beating with a whisk or whatever you have by hand, incorporate the oil in the fine jet to make the emulsion and to finish we add the vinegar and place it cold.
  • Peel and cut the apples into dice or canes, the celery into pieces often and wash and centrifuge the lettuce. Then in a salad bowl, we put the celery, apple, half the walnuts, and raisins, pour the mayonnaise to taste and mix well. At the service source, we put a bed of chopped lettuce, top the mixture of celery, apple, nuts, and raisins with the mayonnaise, and finally decorate with the rest of the walnuts. Serve quickly.
